Elaine James - the "Grandlady" received her angle wings on January 22, 2026 - and our little birdie flew away to join the Lord in heaven.   Elaine was a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin (and a widow.)   She lived a beautiful and full life.  Southern California was her home all her adult life. She made many strides in her chosen career with the Los Angeles Unified School District for over 35 years in Adult Education.  She was a lifetime member with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, and served in many leadership roles.  She was a member for 60+ years at Church of the Advent. She also volunteered at the Assistance League in San Pedro.  Elaine travelled the world and always enjoyed new experiences.   She loved her San Pedro neighborhood - and watching the roaming Peacocks on her balcony was her favorite pastime.   She will be remembered fondly by all who loved and knew her.   Grandlady, we love you and will keep you in our hearts forever.
