It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Ekeledirichukwu Asonye, who departed this life on March 5th, 2026.  Ekeledirichukwu lived a purposeful life marked by passion, dedication, and remarkable achievements.

Known for his warm and vibrant personality, he was always courteous, prompt, and quick to bring humor and light into every situation. His kindness and compassion touched everyone around him. He lived by the principle, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” a value that guided his actions and interactions throughout his life.

Ekeledirichukwu was a man of great accomplishment. He earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve and Air Force. His commitment to service reflected his deep love for country and fellow citizens.

Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Ekele had a deep love for soccer and singing. He often combined both passions, bringing joy and energy to every game and gathering he was part of. He passed while doing something he loved, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and generosity.

Ekele is survived by his loving wife and  daughters, father and his siblings. He will always be remembered for his infectious laughter, his unwavering spirit, and the countless cherished moments shared with family and friends. His life stands as a testament to strength, ambition, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
