Ejiro, 19, of Ruston, LA passed away suddenly after a medical emergency. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by his loss.

Ejiro was born on August 29, 2002 to Dr. Uvie Onakpoya and Prof. Toyin Onakpoya in Ile-Ife, Osun State of Nigeria. After graduating from high school in 2018, Ejiro started at Louisiana Tech University as a Chemical Engineering major in August of the same year.

During his time at Louisiana Tech, Ejiro was also employed at the University as a Student Ambassador. In his down-time, Ejiro loved playing FIFA Soccer games on his PlayStation and especially loved watching his favorite soccer team, FC Barcelona, play. Among his friends, Ejiro was very friendly, outgoing, and obviously beloved; someone who wanted everyone smiling and happy. Anyone who knew Ejiro, knew that they were loved and thought about. He had an immense passion for making sure everyone felt cared for. Ejiro was a believer in Jesus Christ. He was always excited to share his faith with people around him, and would never shy away from discussions around Biblical truths.  His family and friends will miss him more than words can say, but are comforted in the knowledge that he is having a great time with the One who loves him more.

The funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 22, 2022 at City Life Church in Houston, Texas.
