Eileen's obituary
Eileen Lucero, 70, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on July 27, 2022 suddenly.
Eileen was born on May 12, 1952 to Andrew Chavez and Rose DeLara in Bernalillo, New Mexico. Eileen met Lawrence Lucero and they wed in August of 1969, They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in that same year. They went on to have two daughters, Stephanie and Tiffany. When Eileen had her daughters, she decided to dedicate her life to being an amazing and loving mother. Eileen excelled at being the most outstanding and caring grandma to Her grandchildren, Lorenzo, Anessa, Sebastian, Jaiden, Raiden and her great grand daughter Luna. Supporting them through their many successes and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting her daughter’s, grandchildren and all her brothers, sisters and friends through difficulty or through their passion. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Eileen was a loving bright light and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness and a good home cooked meal, she could be found in her backyard, watering her plants, drinking coffee and watching butterflies and humming birds We will miss her greatly. She worked in the gaming/bingo industry for many many years. She started her bingo career at Silver nugget. She spent many many year’s working for Michael Gaughan, starting at the Gold Coast in 1992, then transferred over to Sun Coast and opened South Point Hotel and casino. She retired from South Point September 2018. Eileen was preceded in death by her Husband, their oldest daughter Delilah, her Mom Rose,her Dad Andrew, Nona, Tata, her sister in law Anita Chavez, her Niece Amanda Montoya, her Nephew David Montoya and so many more loved ones. She is survived by her two daughters Stephanie and Tiffany, her grandchildren Lorenzo, Anessa, Sebastian, Jaiden, Raiden and her great grand daughter Luna, her brothers Freddie Chavez, Randy and sister in law Aline Chavez, Eddie and sister in law Leslie DeLara, her sister’s Patsy Wiggins,Bettye Chavez and Cathy Montoya and brother in law Pedro Gonzalez.
There will be a celebration of life.
