Eileen Fitzpatrick passed away, aged 52, in hospital after a long illness, on the morning of Thursday, December 19, 2024. Her husband Mike Fitzpatrick and mother W. Yvonne Harland were with her.

Eileen was born August 5th, 1972 in Calgary, AB. She was the youngest of three children. Eileen attended St. James Elementary and Jr. High school, in SW Calgary, and Grade 10 at St. Mary's High School, in downtown Calgary. 

Eileen married in 1990 before finishing high school, and she relocated with her first husband, Dave Meister, who was pursuing a military career. 

In 1991 Eileen returned to Calgary. She decided to complete her Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC), and take a variety of Continuing Education courses.

Around 2005 Eileen began working part-time with Children's Services in Calgary, helping to facilitate court-ordered Supervised Visitation.

In 2007 Eileen and Mike Fitzpatrick eloped to Las Vegas, and "live streamed" their wedding ceremony. 

In 2012, Eileen and Mike moved  from Calgary, AB to live at Eileen's parents' orchard in the Creston, BC area.

In 2016 Eileen Fitzpatrick recieved a government grant to create the "Creston Valley Volunteer Bank" (CVVB). She was the sole employee of the CVVB.

A memorial service hosted by Eileen's family will be held at a later date. Family members will contact close family and friends with the date and location of the service.
