I would say he was the Silent , Shy , Brooding type of guy – until he got to know you that is, then He could talk for HOURS and still have more to say when it was time to go home!!! He would discuss everything-- music, current events, religion, politics, love, people he knew, adventures he had….
Edwin loved animals, always had dogs but loved cats and became attached to Lynette's hairless cat, Ozzy
Edwin and Lynette were married 33 years, Being high school sweethearts they depended heavily on one another, they were each other’s best everything’s. Of course they had their bumps and tumbles during their years together but I think they truly adored one another. –It was sweet to hear them talk to each other with such love and kindness!
Edwin loved music… But he was the type of fella that REALLY listened to the lyrics and could tell you what the song was about and how it might apply to life. ….In our last discussion we talked about 3 songs one about addiction ”Rooster” and 2 that made him think of Lynette “Sweet child o mine” & “Aint no sunshine”. Lynette was in Santa fe at the time and he was missing her terribly when he said "its really true when she's gone there isn't any sunshine."
Edwin was a genius when it came to a computer or electronics in general for that matter, He maintained all of the families computers, installed everything we needed, he would research then recommended computers, printers, modems, phones were the best buy for the money, All we had to do was pay for it. ---- I could call and ask his recommendations or how to do something… Most times he would go get whatever part was needed, install it then try and teach us how to use it—poor guy his weekends were ours. He was my own personal IT guy.
Edwin, Someday I’ll expect you & Lynette to greet me at those pearly gates… …But until then….. Via Con Dios.
