Edwin Resendiz went home to Jesus on January 07, 2023. 

Edwin was best known by friends and loved ones for his kind, caring demeanor and his generosity,  even at a very young age.  In addition to being a dedicated son and brother, Edwin was a loyal friend. 

 Throughout his entire life, Edwin dedicated himself to others.  He joined the Border Kindness Water Drop team a few years ago.  The organization stated, "As a youth, Edwin understood the importance and necessity of desert work, be it Search and Rescue/Recovery or Water Drops."

The organization declared Edwin a strong hiker,  always at the front of the group during the Water Drop, very eager to help in whatever fashion he could.  Around us that day he was quiet, but very observant. When he did speak, it was so thoughtful and concise.

Friends and colleagues remember Edwin as someone that was very involved with his community, starting with his first search as a teenager. He brought hope for those he walked alongside and was wise beyond his years.

As his former teacher, I lovingly remember Edwin, his thoughtfulness, and his gentle nature.  He will live long in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
