Edward Anthony Zaun, Jr. was born August 10, 1937 to Edward and Evangeline (Angie) Zaun, Sr. in New Prague, Minnesota. He was the second of eight children.

Ed fell asleep in death on January 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Angie Zaun, Sr., his brother Gilbert Zaun, and his daughter Sherrie (Zaun) Fischer.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol.
