Eddie's obituary

Edward “Eddie” Tom Williams, 63, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Longview, TX where he resided with his wife Stacy for the last eight years of his life.

He was born November 4, 1959 to Daniel & Dorothy Williams in Dallas, Texas.

Eddie lived in East Texas throughout his adult life where he owned a land & timber business for many years, as well as a construction company.

Eddie was friendly to everyone, you could definitely say “he never met a stranger.” He loved to visit with anybody at anytime, anywhere and the more he liked you, the more he teased you. He was very funny & personable and above all, he enjoyed making people laugh.

Those that knew Eddie knew that he was a very proud father to his blended family of 7 adult children and 13 grandchildren, who all have survived him. Waylon Williams and wife, Nikki Williams, Tiffany Williams Castle and husband, Michael Castle, Amber Williams Bowlden and husband, Sebastian Bowlden, Thomas “Tommy” Williams Wright, Dusty Williams, Steven Shelton-Groves & Natalie Ellis.     His very dear grandchildren Abbi & Kala, Caden, Kyler, Hudson & Timber, Kinley & Eli, Leena & Hunter, & Jax, Laikyn & Cooper. His brother James “Jimi” Williams, sister Jody Williams Lipsey & baby sister Angeline Williams Gilstrap. Other very significant survivors to Eddie include Sheridan Dowdy & Darlene Kingsley, as well as all nieces, nephews & cousins.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Daniel & Dorothy Williams, his sister Dana Williams Baldwin, his brother in law and very dear friend Donald Ray Lipsey and his beloved nephew Christian Gilstrap.

Eddie will be missed tremendously by those that loved him.

A memorial and balloon release will be held at The Church of The Living God in Athens, TX, located at 2743 US 175 on Friday, February 3rd at 4 p.m.
