Edward's obituary

On Saturday, June 13, 2020, Edward Taw, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 43 due to multiple myeloma.

Ed was born on June 20, 1976 in Rangoon, Burma to Steve and Elaine Taw. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of California - San Diego in 1999, his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 2003, and his Master of Business Administration from University of Southern California in 2007. And as he would simply put it, he has been “hustling” ever since. He created a special niche for himself and had a fulfilling career in data analytics and finance. On December 28, 2013 he married Vivian Le. Together, they brought into the world two daughters, Brooksley and Annabelle.

Ed had a passion for building deep and meaningful relationships. He was so many things to the people whose lives he touched: a witty intellectual, an entrepreneur, a man with an outstanding work ethic, a good-natured guy with a laugh that could light up a room, a loyal friend, a fierce protector of his family, a talented chef and a kind man with a big and tender heart. Above all, Ed will be remembered as a man who valued and loved his family and friends unconditionally. Ed will be missed dearly, especially missed for his love, his positive energy and his gift of making us laugh (even at the most inappropriate times).

Ed is survived by his wife Vivian, his two children, Brooksley, age 5 and Annabelle, age 2, his parents Steve and Elaine, and his brothers Ronald and Phillip.
