Edward "Eddie" Snyder, age 81, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on January 28, 2023. He is survived by his brother and his wife (David and Melinda Snyder of Charlotte, NC). His sons and their wives (Sean and Lisa Ebnet (grandson Logan Ebnet) of Fallbrook, CA), (Brandon and Zinnia Snyder of Las Vegas, NV), and his only daughter and her husband, (Laura and Santo Pernicano (grandson Kevin)). Preceding him in death are his mother and father, Juanita Kerns and Bill Snyder, his late wife, Jacqueline Snyder, and his eldest son, Edward Snyder Jr.

Eddie grew up in beautiful Bonita, CA, where he attended Sunnyview Elementary. He enjoyed playing guitar at a very early age and eventually discovered his passion for rock and roll. He loved to tell the story of his mother saving and saving to buy him his first guitar. He spent his days writing songs that captured the true sensitivity and heartfelt emotion that best describes Eddie as a human being, sweet and kind.  These qualities also made Eddie a wonderful husband, father and grandfather later in life. 

While the San Diego native would hate the word "famous" and swore that he was practically unknown, as a founding member of the band, The Cascades, he was loved by thousands of fans around the world. His stage name, Eddie Preston, was sentimental as Preston was his favorite uncle. As a member of the Cascades, Eddie was able to share his talents and musical prowess with the world, earning him a Gold Record for the song Rhythm of the Rain and admission into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Later in life, Eddie made a living doing what he loved. His passion for music, playing it and writing, was his career for nearly 60 years before he retired as a solo artist.
