Edward's obituary
Ed made his appearance in the world on September 4, 1941 to Gilbert S. Peart Sr. and Lillian (nee Steele) Peart in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was one of seven children.
Because Ed was a very patriotic individual and loved his country, he served in the US Navy from 1958-1964, last 2 years being reserve.
After the service, Ed worked for Socony-Mobil Co. in Trenton, NJ. He eventually moved out west and became a highly sought after engineer, whose career took him around the world. Some of his favorite places were Alaska and Japan.
Ed was also a successful business owner, operating RFM Industrial Hydraulic Hose and Fittings for many years in Pahrump, Nevada.
As a Culinary Specialist in the Navy, Ed developed a love for cooking and his friends and family always looked forward to his next party or barbecue.
Some of Ed’s favorite hobbies over the years were spending time with friends and family, traveling in his RV, camping in the mountains, driving his Corvette and boating on Lake Meade.
Ed’s daughter from his first marriage found him after 52 years. He had looked for her in previous years with no success. This was a wonderful reunion for all. The icing on the cake was he discovered he had 4 grandchildren as well. Fortunately they were all able to get to know each other before Ed’s passing.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Lillian Peart; and his brother James Peart to whom he was very close. He is survived by his daughter Tammy Werner (son-in-law Karl Werner). Four grandchildren Joshua, Benjamin, Jonathan and Sarah Werner.
Also, three brothers Gilbert, Charlie, and Robert Peart; and two sisters Elizabeth Peart Williams (John Williams) and Grace Peart White (Ronald White). There are also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that Ed was close to.
