Ed's obituary

Edward Raymond Nolan passed away in his home in Naples, Florida Friday morning at the age of 57, following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 5, 1967 in Framingham, MA to parents Kieran M. and Jean F. Nolan.

Edward was a graduate of Burnt-Hills Ballston Lake High School ‘85, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Plattsburgh-College of Arts and Science ‘99. During his career he specialized in consultative educational technology and marketing. Ed held a variety of positions aligning with the goal of making remote learning more interactive and engaging.

Edward is survived by his brothers, Michael P. of St. Louis, MO; Thomas of Glastonbury, CT;James K. of Malta, NY;Joseph F. and his wife Johonna, of Broadalbin, NY. 

He was the loving Uncle of: Kelly Nolan of Wynantskill, NY; Scott & James Nolan of Glastonbury, CT; Casey Nolan of Fort Plain, NY; Carey Nolan of Auburn, ME; Cadey & Carley Nolan of South East, FL. ;Godfather to Daisy Polo of Chicago, IL; and an amazing father to his beautiful pets: Frances & Sylvia. Ed is also survived by many, many dear friends whom he loved like family.

Ed was predeceased by his father, Kieran M. Nolan; his mother, Jean F. Nolan, sister; Elizabeth A. Kimble; and sister in-law, Kristen Nolan.

Over the years Ed has found home in several locations such as Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; and most recently Naples, Florida- which he called “paradise”. No matter where he was, Ed was a friend to all, lighting up every room and treating everyone with true kindness.

Ed lived a life rich with adventure, travel, and love. He will be remembered by many for his intuitive and artistic nature, positivity and ability to make memories and jokes that last a lifetime.

Service arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
