Edward's obituary

Edward James "Ned" Thornley, 69, of Grapevine, TX passed away in the early hours of Thursday, November 16, 2023. 

Ned was born on December 7, 1953 to Charles Bruce Thornley and Arlene Ann McHale Thornley in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating from Centralia High School in Centralia, MO in 1972, he went on to attend Loras College, the University of North Texas and finally the University of Texas at Dallas. He worked in the aerospace industry for many years, sourcing aircraft parts at the company he owned, ACT Supply Corp. In his free time, he was a musician and was passionate about drum playing especially.

Ned is survived by his wife of 28 years, June Thornley, as well as son Nick (Jill), stepchildren Deborah, Alan, Michael-Ann, grandchildren Kara, Calvin, Gemma, Gage, Keith, Alexandra, Dylan, and Taylor, and three great grandchildren, Elana, Harlow, and Lincoln.

Ned is also survived by four sisters, Karen (Chip) Simon, Mary Jo (Joseph) Cox, Erin (Joseph) Parisi, and Jane (Jim) Denham, and innumerable nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents as well as sister Susan Rheaume, nephew Samuel Patrick Cox and grandson Chase Lawrence Wood.
