Ed and I worked together at Ford Motor Company. Always connected as Ford Family. He was a great mentor and help in our field. He was a great person and friend. We had some fun and challenging times pushing continuous improvement to our coworkers. Good times during our Ford days and stayed friends and connected throughout. He reached out to me to help his granddaughter with her resume and job opportunities. Ed was a great person, friend/co worker and family man. He will be missed. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant. Well Done.
Pastor Matheny was a wonderful man. He would often take me in his home with his son Cedric and let us eat up all of his food, but not before sitting us down and imparting some of his classic wisdom on us. He was full of knowledge and life lessons and those convos always stuck with me. Years later my wife and I had the chance to go through pre-marital counseling with him before he married us, and I still think about the things he taught us 10 years into our marriage. My condolences go out to the entire Matheny family. I’m praying for you all and thank you for sharing a great human with the world.Ā
Our deepest condolences from Walter and Darla Lewis from Indianapolis.
To the family of my dear brother I truly cover you in the spirit of prayer. Brother E.M truly loved God, his family, and the church. He is and will remain the inspiration the church needs in times like this!
