so sorry to hear of Ed passing,, he was my pledged the frat with me and was amazing friend,, loved every minute of our time together, he and his buddy Vic were on many great gold trips to Disney world , will never forget the good times we had,, please accept my deepest sympathy for his lose
I knew Ed as the guy Kathy “ordered around” for 9 years of “Titanic at the Grand.” (I believe Ed loved every minute of it and wouldn’t have had it any other way!) Kathy was a perfectionist, and Ed made sure he fulfilled her requests to make the show the best! One of my favorite memories was probably year 6 or 7???….. it was a beautiful day on the island, but there were still a few large Chunks of unmelted ice left around from winter. Ed was standing near one of the large chunks of ice (probably the size of a small car) on a small deck just outside the ballroom where the big show took place. He was physically tired from the set up, rehearsals and was taking a quick “smoke break” before show time. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the situation….
I pushed open the door, and with a very “serious face” leaned out the door and said “Ed! Finish that smoke! Kathy needs you to get that big chunk of ice in the ballroom! She’s using it as a prop for the show! Hurry up!!”
I will never forget the look on his face! He actually believed me for a minute or so….(why wouldn’t he???…. 100% something Kathy would request had she known it was there!)
Ed was a great guy! I had many laughs with him over the years and I will miss him, his humor and charm and story telling…. He was such a character and I am truly grateful Kathy and I connected in the middle of the night so many years ago and that I had the opportunity to know him and enjoy his company, work with him and laugh with him! Love you Ed!

That is very sad . Ed was a great guy. Ed was also the  producer on my first commercial out in LA when I was just a young AD at Campbell Ewald working on Chevy. We always shared a joke about the edit. We were working with Harvey(people will know who I’m talking about) and editing on an upright. After a few hours of frustration Harvey looks at Ed and  exclaims “ the commercial is 31 seconds long.” what do you want to do?
I will never forget Ed. He helped me get my first job on staff at a production company at Sundog Productions when I was just a newbie in the film industry. His humor and laugh reverberated throughout the walls of our office every day. I can think of countless of moments he made me laugh till I cried over the many years we worked together directly, or were in the same production circles. He was one of a kind, maybe even more rare than that. I am so sad to hear of his passing, and will cherish my memories of him, while appreciating how much laughter he brought to my life and work. Sending much love to Kathy and Tiffany.

Ed was my partner @ Sundog Productions. He was incredibly important to our success. He processed a deep understanding of the relationship between production houses & advertising agencies! He made me laugh at life & at myself every single frigging day.....truly an original!

So long partner!
