Edward's obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing  of Edward Kohout on May 27, 2024. Born on June 17, 1949, Ed grew up in Stratford NJ and was a 1967 graduate of Sterling High School.

Ed was a veteran of the Army National Guard 

Ed leaves behind his beloved son, Brian, his grandchildren Cameron and Bailey, his brothers Barry ((Angie) , Wayne , nieces Lauren, Danyelle (Brian), Christina (Chris) and Kelly. In addition , Ed is survived by many loving cousins and his lifelong friend Wayne Klaw (Terri). 

Ed was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Kathleen, his parents Herman and Betty and his brother Kenneth. 

Affectionately called Pop by his grandchildren , Ed was incredibly proud of the young adults they are becoming. 

Ed was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.   In his younger years , Ed was a skilled drummer who played in various local bands .

Additionally, his favorite vacation spot was Ocean City NJ. It didn’t matter what time of year it was, Ed loved to visit Ocean City. 

Interment will be private and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
