I'm so sorry for the loss of Edward. I have so many memories of Ed from when I used to babysit him and Leah (Allison) when they were young, all the way to when I saw him when he briefly lived in Portland, Oregon. He had so many "cute" attributes when he was a toddler, and had great phrases when he was young. One that stands out was that a popular phrase when he was about 5 was "far out and funky chicken." We were at some family gathering with Gran and Grandad when Ed shouted out "far out and fu** the chicken." The room was silent for a while until Gran changed the subject and then everyone laughed. Of course Ed had no idea what was wrong. I did a project my senior year in high school on "What Children Think Art is. It was 1977, so Ed was 5. I had to do a live presentation, so I picked Ed up from the babysitter and brought him to school to help with my presentation. At first he froze, afraid to utter a sound. But once I got him talking, he did great. He talked about drawing and painting and coloring, etc. it was great. Ed was the ring-bearer at my wedding the next year.I still cannot believe the world has lost this precious soul. He was so loving and caring. I pray that his girls find comfort and peace in their memories of him and that they know how much he loved them. May all who knew Ed find peace in their memories, and may Ed rest in the peace of knowing just how much we all loved him.
