Edward's obituary
Edward Fitzwater, fondly referred to by family as Ed and to close friends as Eddie, passed away on the 13th of June, 2024. Born on September 15, 1958, Ed's life was characterized by a tenacious work ethic, genuineness, and an innate kindness that made him loved by all who knew him.
Ed is survived by his devoted spouse, Jennifer, who has been a rock of support throughout their time together and especially during his illness. He is survived by his beautiful daughters, Sunny Fitzwater, Amber Cornell, Cynthia (Justin) Ellsworth, and Eden Fitzwater, who will remember their father as a humble and self-sacrificing man. He is also survived by his loving step-sons, Jacob and Benjamin Johnson, who admired his strength and work ethic. Ed will be missed by his three grandchildren, Layla Cornell, Brielle Cornell and Maddox Ellsworth. Their time with him was cut way too short.
His brothers, David (Sandra) Fitzwater and Tony (Karen) Fitzwater, and sisters, Donna Fitzwater, Chrissy (James) Kurano, and Jenny Fitzwater, fondly recollect the times of laughter, joy, and camaraderie they shared. Eddie was predeceased by his father, Donald Fitzwater, and his mother, Elizabeth (nee Besanceney) Fitzwater, whose teachings and work ethics he carried with him throughout his life.
The legacy that Ed leaves behind is one of kindness and generosity. His hardworking nature was not only confined to his personal life but was also obvious in all that he did. His genuine and kind disposition made him an endearing figure, and he touched countless lives with his generous spirit.
Throughout his 21-year music career, Ed was most proud of his time working with George Lynch and Foreigner. His passion for music and helping others radiated in his daily interactions on set. Ed was ever grateful for the friendships he created during that time. He considered the band and crew to be his "family".
