Background
As a 50 year Referee, Eddie Fitz was an Icon of the sport of Boxing; a champion of the disenfranchised, underprivileged young men and women athletes in his hometown of Boston. We envision an annual award for multiple aspiring athletes to help with training and competition expenses. This sport often provides hope and purpose, often getting kids off the streets and onto a successful life path.
Ed’s family is collaborating with USA Boxing Boston to enact an annual fundraising event in Ed’s memory to establish and maintain this fund in perpetuity. We are most appreciative of your support of our father’s vision and life’s work. Contribute
