Edward's obituary
As a child he was known best as Buddy. A name given to him by his Aunt Aggy because he was their Buddy. Growing up Ed was so full of life. He loved playing in the outdoors, He loved football, baseball, bike riding, swimming, and sledding. His twin, Nancy followed him everywhere and looked up to him in every way. As a teenager he was very popular. (shocker! :D) He loved parties, dancing, and enjoyed sports. He was known as the “Secret Weapon” for the boys' high school basketball team. He made these unbelievable shots from so far out!
Ed always made a huge impact on everyone he met. He knew how to make them feel so happy and loved. His sister Nancy shares that when she was named the “Best Girl Athlete” their senior year that he was her biggest cheerleader. He screamed out, “That's my sister!”
Ed proudly served our country in the Vietnam war. He told amazing stories of that time as it had a profound impact on his life.
Ed will always be remembered as the life of the party, the best story teller, and like a little kid that never grew up. He loved to make people laugh. His smile lit up the room and he was so full of life. He loved his family and was always wanting to plan vacations to spend time together. He also loved the ocean, the sunshine, cruising, finding little projects to do around the house, and watching movies (although he couldn't help but give away the ending before we all saw it)
Ed was a beloved husband, devoted father, fun-loving brother, the best papa to his grandkids and a treasured friend to so many.
Ed is joined in heaven by his parents, Raymond and Naomi Clark, his dear Aunt Aggy Dawson, and his daughter, Jamie McNamee. He is survived by his wife and his Huckleberry, Kim Clark. His children, Deanna Bauchspies, Amy O' Rourke, Carly Rose-Fufa, Kelly Carlile, and David McNamee. His son in laws Adam Fufa, John Carlile and Joe O'Rourke. His siblings, Nancy Brunke (His twin sister known affectionately to Ed as Sis) Raymond Clark, Maryann Clark, and Jim Clark, his grandkids Miranda and Ian Keefer, Matthew, Andrew, Cameron and Kiersten
Bauchspies, Parker, Madison and Caleb Carlile, and Hannah, Gracie and Joshua Fufa.
While we miss him more than words can express we find comfort in knowing that he had great faith in the Lord and is without a doubt showing off his dancing moves in heaven. We thank you Lord for the life that Ed lived to the absolute fullest. He would always quote the line from Shawshank Redemption “Get busy dying or get busy living!” We hope Ed serves as a reminder to GET BUSY LIVING! We plan on celebrating his life at a later date so we can all get together and party “Ed Style.”
Break forth with dancing! Make music and sing God's praises with the rhythm of drums.
-Psalm 149:3
