Edna's obituary

Edna Marie Thornton, 73, of Guyton, Ga., passed away on January 15, 2021

Edna was predeceased by Fred & Rose Saffel, parents (passed is a car accident), John & Florrie Saffel, raised Edna as their own, Grace Saffel, step mother, Larry H. Saffel, brother, Frank Thornton, husband, a half sister and two half brothers.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by, Carl Thornton, Son, April Thornton, daughter in law, Allen Thornton, grandson, Shaylin Thornton, granddaughter, Joyce Schuckert, sister, Phyllis Holmes, sister and Sharon Schoener, sister. She will also be missed by neices, nephews, Frank's family and friends.
Edna was a kind and generous person. Never a person she didn't know. She was very sociable and wouldn't hesitate to talk to a complete stranger that in some cases, turned into a great friend. She loved her family dearly. We will miss her.
A cremation has taken place at Fox & Weeks & Sons and she will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Akron, OH. No services will be held in Savannah Georgia due to covid and family unable to travel. A memorial service will be held in Akron Ohio.
