Wife, mother, and grandmother, Edna Pickett entered fully into the presence of Jesus on July 15, 2022 at age 70 in Lincoln, NE.

Edna was born to George and Florence Ripenburg on December 27, 1951 in McCook, NE.  Growing up in McCook she loved attending church camp in the summers, playing jacks and dolls, and loved roller skating.  Edna also was an avid ice skating fan! Edna moved to Lincoln, where she worked for Square D (Schneider Electric) for over 30 years before leaving to pursue her love of cooking for others. Her journey ultimately landed her at The People's City Mission, where she served as the Food Service Manager for nearly 10 years before retiring. In addition to being an amazing cook with a heart that loved to serve others, she also loved to go fishing and  spend time at the lake and in her backyard oasis listening to music with her loving husband Jerome. Edna also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her, even through her battle with cancer.

Edna joins her father, George N. Ripenburg, mother, Florence Ripenburg, brother, Alfred Ripenburg, and sister, Pauline Richardson, in Heaven. She is survived by her husband,  Jerome Pickett; son, Brian Drewes; daughter, Sara Jones; Son in-law; Frankie Jones; daughter, Serrena Howell; Son in-law, Dwayne Howell; daughter, Teshia Pickett; son, Rashan Pickett; son, Joshua Pickett; son, Jeff Beye, 11 grandchildren, and sister, Louise Shadwick.
