We are saddened to announce the passing of Edna Martinez on July 22, 2023, who was born on September 27, 1949. Known for her wit and humorous nature that would always leave an unexpected smile on your face, Edna was a beacon of joy and love.

Edna leaves behind a large, loving family. She is survived by her daughters: Michelle Martinez, Sophie Martinez, and Anita Martinez; her son, Tomás Martinez; her grandsons, Terrell Bloom and Tommy Martinez; and her granddaughter, Arianna Martinez. Her family was one of her greatest accomplishments. She always said that the creation of her large family was one of her proudest achievements.

Edna was passionate about giving back to others and could be found consistently volunteering for church-related community activities and events. A fervent lover of Selena's music, her favorite pastimes included playing Yahtzee and Scrabble. She had a fondness for South Carolina, where she loved to vacation, and would often reminisce about the taste of fresh fried fish and grits.

Edna was a woman of principles, she believed in kindness and always shared the message that 'what goes around, comes around.' She personified this belief through her genuine, compassionate soul that cared about everyone she met.

Edna's legacy is not just the family she has left behind but the unique imprint of kindness, humility, and love that she placed in each person's heart. She will be deeply missed but will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
