Edna's obituary

Edna Marie Benson, 70, of Boulder, CO passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Phillip; daughters, Sarah and Teresa; and grandson, Kynan.

Throughout her wondrous life Edna embraced many roles: loving wife, dedicated mother, ever-patient Nana, devoted daughter, loyal sister, amazing aunt, giving neighbor, and cherished friend. Edna was a kind and remarkable woman–truly one of a kind. Her love and acceptance of everyone around her was abounding. She radiated warmth and compassion, helping others feel seen, accepted, and loved. Her contagious smile, quick humor, sharp tongue, healing hands, and huge heart were among the many traits that make her unforgettable.

Edna deeply cared for those she loved, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of everyone she encountered. Possessing an uncanny ability to peer into one's heart and soul, and offer exactly what was needed, without ever being asked.

Along with dedicating herself to the services of others, Edna also pursued passions that brought her joy. From her adeptness at crosswords and sudoku to her love for waterskiing, boating, hiking, biking, yoga, gardening, sewing, and massage therapy, Edna's life was a colorful tapestry of interests and talents.

Edna's fierce spirit ignited an unwavering determination and courage, even through the hardships she encountered. She endeavored to overcome the challenges she faced. Some of those issues, seemingly insurmountable, she fought through until the very end.

Above all, it’s Edna’s wish to be remembered as a WARRIOR!

In honor of Edna, our family would like for you to share your cherished memories of her on the memorial website (https://everloved.com/life-of… Further we welcome you in paying homage to her life by lighting a candle on April 15th, a day deeply treasured by Edna, being her mother's birthday. We believe that Edna knows how deeply she enriched our lives; she will remain in our hearts forever, what a beautiful woman. While we will mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, and is being welcomed by the love and light of those who preceded her.
