Background
Twenty eight years ago, he received the gift of life through a heart transplant and he never took a single day of that gift for granted. He went on to become the voice of organ donation and the founder of Transplant Speakers International (TSI) where he shared his story to inspire hope, raise awareness, and honor the selfless act that gave him more time on this earth. Pete co-authored the book Tragedy to Triumph, the Story of Tom's Heart with his donor mother. He lived every day with gratitude, humor and heart - literally and figuratively. His strength, courage, and compassion touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue through every person he inspired to become an organ donor.
