With her two sons by her side, Edith Louis Bryant, 92, of Flower Mound, Texas passed to her eternal reward on Saturday, April 9, 2022.  Born on December 7, 1929 in Bixby, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Lee and Iona Smith.  She was married to William "Bill" Lee Bryant on May 8, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas.  Bill and Edith were married for 66 years until his passing in 2014.  She was a strong support to him as he served as a Church of Christ minister for 25 years.  Edith also worked for many years for Johnson & Johnson and she especially enjoyed her years in retail sales. 

Until Alzheimer's made life more difficult for her, Edith loved spending time with her family and church friends.  She loved to cook, attend church and visit others, especially those in the hospitals or nursing homes.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the great delight of her recent years.

She is survived by her two brothers, Leon Smith of Lubbock, Texas and Hollis Smith of Odessa, Texas; her children and their spouses, Brenda & Wayne Speer of Albania, Gary & Colyn Bryant of Bartonville, Texas and Mark & Susan Bryant of Coppell, Texas.  She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Lewisville Church of Christ, 901 College Parkway, Lewisville, Texas on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 2:00.
