Edgardo “Jong” Barbeyto II, 41, of Kent, Washington, passed away on April 24th 2023, surrounded by his family. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Jong came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Jong was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He was such a funny person, who kept people entertained because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. While he was fighting cancer himself, he remained as the pillar of strength for his family during his mom’s illness and passing.

Jong was born in the Philippines on September 19th, 1981 and migrated with family to Guam in 1993, then later moved to Kent, Washington in 1999.

Jong held a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and worked in inventory management at several hospitals.

Jong is preceded in death by his mother, Beatriz A. Barbeyto. He is survived by his father, Edgardo R. Barbeyto, his siblings Earl James, Euclid, Evan and Trixie, nephew Parker, and his beloved dog, Artemis.

The viewing will be held on May 1st 2023, from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, followed by the memorial service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM and reception from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel at 27221 156th Ave. SE, Kent, WA 98042. Cremation services will be held at the same place on May 5th 2023.
