Edgar Bourne, Jr. was born June 17, 1957, to Edgar Bourne Sr. and Annie Louise (Funchess) Bourne. Edgar Jr. was the youngest of their four children: Pauline, Velma, and Eva. He accepted Christ in 1969 and was baptized by Rev. George G. Bailey, Second Baptist Church (SBC), Monrovia.
