Eddie's obituary
On Thursday, April 11, 2024, our hero Sgt. Eddie Morales passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Born October 15, 1962, in Pomona, California, to Ramona Morales. He enlisted in the Army in 1980 after attending Garey High School in Pomona, California. He was awarded the bronze medal during Desert Storm among other awards during his military career. After retiring from the Army in 1995 at Fort Gordon, Georgia, he was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration. He traveled from east to west visiting many beautiful places.
After his diagnosis, he retired from the FAA and settled in Marianna, Florida, with wife Deborah Haygens-Morales. He was a great provider and protector, loved his family unconditionally, and left his mark everywhere he went. Traveling, fishing, and dining at the finest restaurants and vineyards were some of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed talking about old times and world politics, but God and family were his two greatest priorities. He was proud and strong, an inspiration to all. He was a loved, and cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, friend, and Child of God. He will be missed, but his soul will live on in heaven forever.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Haygens-Morales, his three daughters and their families, Angelica and Kelsey Cassadas; Jeannette and Allen West; Erika and Dustin Carroll; grandchildren Jacob Ludwig; Isaac West; Braydon Carroll; Ava Carroll; three step sons and their families, Ryan and Joley Anderson; Jon and Chasen Powell; Preston and Hayden Powell; grandchildren, Lawson Anderson; Cassie Anderson; Murphie Anderson; Griffin Powell; Collins Powell; three brothers, Sylas, Bobby, and Danny Morales and family; beloved pets, Cali; Bama; and Chase, and many loving and devoted family and friends.
