Eddie's obituary

Eddie Lou Judge, 71, passed away on September 4, 2021 after battling complications from Covid 19.

Eddie was born on August 24, 1950 to Jack Judge and Margie Travis in Ft. Worth, Texas. In High School she was a part of the Haltom Highsteppers Drill Team and she went on to attend the University of North Texas majoring in Physical Education. She later completed a degree in Psychology through the University of New Mexico, became a certified counselor in 2006 and was ordained as a minister in 2020.

Over the years she went on to pursue several different career paths which included working for Pacesetter Corp, Selah Transition House, House of Hope, Over the Rainbow Daycare, Praise Temple Academy, Oak Park Assisted Living and Haley’s House Maternity Home. Eddie was also Assistant Director and later the Principal at Green Isle Children’s Ranch. The last 11 years she has spent as Director at the South Lake Pregnancy and Family Care Center where she counseled women and families facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy. In her own words, her life’s objective was to fulfill the work which God created her for, to further the Kingdom of God, to help others receive their healing, deliverance and family restoration as she had through Jesus Christ.

Eddie enjoyed reading, listening to Joyce Myer and watching Hallmark movies. She loved Mexican food, anything associated with the Native American culture, and making birthdays, holidays and any family adventure extra special. One of her favorite things to do was just to sit on the beach, especially with her bestie, Fran.

She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Margie, her sister Rhonda, brothers Jimmy and Ike and granddaughter Annalisa.

Eddie is survived by her four children whom she raised with Bob Weitz: Jason and his wife Lynn, Travis and his wife Evelyn, Brooke and her husband Rich and Logan; her grandchildren, Cameron, Ava, Asher, Madison, Samuel, Hannah, Noah, Paisley and River with 1 on the way; great-grandchild Judah with 1 more on the way ; as well as her brother Bruce, sisters Lynn and Teri and their children.

She was a spiritual mom to countless others and treated everyone as if they were family too. Eddie always loved, counseled, housed and prayed for anyone and everyone that came in her path and was a true force or compassion in this world. Always supportive and encouraging. Always selfless and kind.

A Celebration of Life for Eddie will be held on October 2, 2021 at 2pm at the Clermont River Church located at 796 Hook St, Clermont, FL 34711. The family requests that everyone attending wear a mask out of respect for her family and others present during this trying time. If you are unable to do so for any reason or cannot attend, the service will also be live streamed.
