Born on July 11, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert was the son of Robert Lewis Miles and Genevieve Strack. He was raised in Oklahoma and carried with him throughout his life a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and dedication to helping others.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He later completed both a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical …
