Ed was always my go-to friend when someone was in "deep need".  By deep need, I mean, deep shit. 

About 12 years ago, I dated a troubled guy, aka "loser". I Called Ed and said this guy needs your help. 

He made himself immediately available for an AA meeting in Culver City. Never having met this man, Ed joined me at his house. 

Although the meeting was arranged. The guy tried to avoiding it by jumping out of the <first story> kitchen window. Lol

No fear...Ed planned for this eventuality andwas standing outside.

He said, "uh uh...#$^&@%'... we're going to this meeting. "

And we did.

If you ever wanted to know what Ed really thought of you, there were two ways to find out;

1. Talk to him for more than 30 seconds. He would give you his detailed opinion whether you asked for it or not. 

2. Wait for something to happen. Good or bad, he would be right there with you. Your problems were his problems, your joy his joy, your fights his fights. 

Lately I’ve been focusing on how lucky I am to have been able to experience such a wonderful friendship. 

Sending you lots of love.  This is just heartbreaking.   Remember when you and Ed joined us camping and you had to go to the laundromat to get the fire smell out of your clothes, 😂 !
