Ed was a truth teller. He did not bullshit. He did not sugarcoat anything. Such a rare gift to spend time with him and know it was always real, authentic and true. š

My condolences to Mike and Ed's family. I first met Ed 25 years ago, and he was always a rock-solid, dependable, and loyal friend -- always there in a pinch when needed for anything.Ā He was always going the extra mile for people he cared about, and even that doesn't seem to fully encapsulate his immense generosity.Ā I will miss him terribly!

No wonder the heavens have been crying nonstop this week! Ā Thanks, Love for being a good friend who I can call/text about anything, a great neighbor who always had the best decorated house for Christmas and wore the best costumes for Halloween, the best boss who generously gave my daughter her first doggie sitting job, the most encouraging gym buddy who called me out if I missed a day of Cycle or Body Pump. Ā But most of all, thank you for being YOU and for being a part of my life. Ā Shine bright with all the colors of the rainbow my friend! Ā You will truly be missed but never forgotten! Ā

Ed was always my go-to friend when someone was in "deep need".Ā By deep need, I mean, deep shit.Ā
About 12 years ago, I dated a troubled guy, aka "loser". I Called Ed and said this guy needs your help.Ā
He made himself immediately available for an AA meeting in Culver City. Never having met this man, Ed joined me at his house.Ā
Although the meeting was arranged. The guy tried to avoiding it by jumping out of the <first story> kitchen window. Lol
No fear...Ed planned for this eventuality andwas standing outside.
He said, "uh uh...#$^&@%'... we're going to this meeting. "
And we did.

I remember my first day of training at DSG and Ed walked up to greet me and I eyeballed his beautiful diamond tennis bracelet. "Honey, my husband gave this to me. You'll have to stand in line behind all of the others that want it." And when Mike, Ed, I and others had to take a CPR course at the Hollywood office, I should've known we were going to be laughing and cracking jokes. When Ed pretended to tongue the CPR dummy, I thought I was gonna pee on myself.Ā We were constantly "chastised" for our immaturity. We sure had fun that day.Ā

If you ever wanted to know what Ed really thought of you, there were two ways to find out;
1. Talk to him for more than 30 seconds. He would give you his detailed opinion whether you asked for it or not.Ā
2. Wait for something to happen. Good or bad, he would be right there with you. Your problems were his problems, your joy his joy, your fights his fights.Ā
Lately Iāve been focusing on how lucky I am to have been able to experience such a wonderful friendship.Ā

Sending you lots of love. Ā This is just heartbreaking. Ā Remember when you and Ed joined us camping and you had to go to the laundromat to get the fire smell out of your clothes, š !Ā
Ed will be missed. Ā Please know we are sending love and thoughts your way. Ā
