Easter Mae Cruell went home to Jesus on December 25, 2020 at age 84.

Easter was born to John Henry Horton and Bertha Havana Horton on April 21, 1936 in Tullahassee, Oklahoma. She was one of twin baby girls.

Easter met her husband, L.C. Cruell. They married August 20, 1958 and went on to have four sons, Denver, Kevin, Stanley, and Galand Cruell, Sr. Easter was employed as a nurse aide for over 25 years in Tulsa, OK throughout the course of raising her children and caring for her grandchildren.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Easter also loved socializing, singing, cooking, reading, and enjoying daily walks. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was a faithful member of Peoria Young Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK for many years.

Easter joins her parents, husband L.C. Cruell, siblings Loetta Nathan, Henry Horton, Cisroe Horton, Cleo Horton, and twin sister Esther Pennington; and her youngest son, Galand Cruell, Sr. in Heaven. She is survived by Denver (Venus) Cruell of Tulsa, OK, Kevin Cruell of Mounds, OK, Stanley Cruell of Edmond, OK, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
