Please accept my love, prayers and sympathy at this time of Derald's passing.  I have many fond memories of our  friendship and the Billings family members. We are blessed to have  testimony of the gospel. It grants us peace. May the Lord embrace you with His love.

Derald was a man with high ethics and a strong moral compass. I have memories of his "peacemaking" in some tense and emotional sports incidents. He possessed a keen sense of humor and was always kind to both young and old. I had not heard the story of his skipping a scholarship in order to help his family but I am not surprised because this is the kind of person Derald was and is.
