Frank's obituary

Earl “Frank” Perkins Born on June 14th 1949 passed away on November 4th ,

2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Charles Perkins;

brothers, Charles Perkins and Chester Perkins; sisters, Diane Blake and Sarah

Wheeler; ex-wife, Ruthanne Perkins; and longtime fiancée, Molly Hamilton.

Frank is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Carrie Perkins;

nephew and niece, James and Camio Perkins; sons, Chris Koehler (Michelle)

and Gary Koehler; daughters, Michelle Bishop (Alan) and Melissa McIntire; son,

Ronald Howard; sisters, Neoma Massey, Tennie Tewell, Pam Creech, and Deeann Litteral;

brothers, James Perkins and Robert Perkins; as well as numerous grandchildren,

both biological and those he loved as his own.

Frank was truly “salt of the earth.” To know Frank was to know someone who

would give you the shirt off his back. He was kind, caring, and never met a

stranger. He enjoyed the outdoors—hunting, fishing, farming, and operating

heavy equipment—and had an exceptional understanding of automobile

mechanics.

Frank found his greatest joy in giving to others. He rarely asked for anything

himself, but was always the person people turned to for help—whether

emotionally, financially, or for advice. Frank made the decision to donate his

body to science by participating in the Boonshoft School of Medicine Anatomical

Gift Program.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at VFW Post 3660 on November 15,

2025, from 1–3 p.m., located at 2741 Columbus Ave., Springfield, Ohio 45503. In

lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Special Wish

Foundation at VFW 3660.
