Earl's obituary
Earl was born April 3, 1940 in Herford, TX to TC and Susie Chapin. He moved to Colorado with his family and graduated from Palisade High School. He worked as a computer technician for Control Data Corporation until he retired in 1994. He met the love of his life, Joyce Chapin and they were married in May of 1999.
Earl had many passions. He loved outdoor activities like camping and riding his dirt bike. After retiring, he spent many years travelling the country with his wife, Joyce, in their camper. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed making people smile wherever he went with his friendly, upbeat personality and his great sense of humor. But the biggest passion for Earl was his love for Jesus. He spent his life in devotion to his Lord and made it a point to be a light to those he came in contact with - anyone from close friends and relatives to complete strangers. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. His presence will be missed.
Earl was preceded in death by his father, TC Chapin and his mother, Susie Chapin. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Chapin, and children from their blended family, Denise Vollmar, Lisa Hill, Malinda Wheeler, Albert Garrett, Roseann Pearlman, Charity Garrett, and Lewanna Hanson. He had 16 grandkids and 12 great grandkids. He also had one furbaby – his dog, Katie, who he loved and doted on.
Due to Covid 19, we will be using Ever Loved as the memorial for Earl. Everyone is encouraged to comment, add memories, photos, and videos.
