Dwight "Pistol"'s obituary

Dwight "Pistol" Lynn went home to Jesus on December 01, 2022 at age 65.

Dwight was born to Jerline and Theodore Lynn, on July 14, 1957 in Ecorse, Michigan. As a child, Pistol was loving, inquisitive and always stayed in trouble . He loved climbing trees, fishing and hunting with his father and grandfather. He enjoyed trying to figure out how things worked. So, he would take things apart and try to put them back together. For instance his bike, which of course the bike never worked again!

Dwight was full of joy, spreading love to all he knew, and was a true man of God. After he accepted Christ , he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him and he reached out to many through various Street Ministries. Dwight joins his beloved father in Heaven. He is survived by his mother, Jerline Lynn. His sisters, Patricia Teachey and Vickie Lynn, his step son, Andre Berry, his step daughter, Tameko Turner, his nephews and nieces , Leon Lynn, Jermarrio Teachey, Vickie Teachey-Thomas, and Tiffany Crosby. He was a wonderful uncle to many great nieces, and great nephews. Not only that, he was a brother, a cousin and a spiritual father to many in the community. He also was a protector, a fighter, a true friend, a father figure to many and always had the backs of those he cared for. Pistol Pete was truly loved by many and will always be in our hearts and memories.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
