How you can help
In the early hours of November 1st, Amanda’s life partner, Dwayne Kirby, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind Amanda and their four-year-old daughter, Avery. They were on a family trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, visiting close friends.
Dwayne’s life was devoted to his family—being a father to his precious daughter, Avery, and a loving partner to Amanda was everything to him. As Amanda and Avery begin to navigate life without him, they will need support to help carry them through this difficult time and into the future.
These funds are being collected to help Amanda and Avery move forward without the weight of financial stress. While nothing can replace Dwayne’s (Daddy’s) presence in their lives, easing their financial burden can help provide some relief and stability.
Amanda has been Avery’s full-time caregiver, while Dwayne was the primary income provider for the family. His income covered all of their living expenses as well as Avery’s ongoing medical and therapy needs. Born prematurely with Down Syndrome, Avery has lifelong medical needs that require extensive and costly treatments and therapies and she will always require guardianship.
By contributing, you can help ensure that Avery has the support she needs, both now and in the future. Amanda has always been there for others, and now is our chance to give back.
