Dwayne's obituary

Dwayne Julian Farrell, age 67, of Charleston South Carolina passed away March 21st, 2023, peacefully in his home. He was a father, mentor, and respected professional in the building supply industry. He made an impact on many and he will be dearly missed.

Dwayne is survived by his children Kelly Farrell, Jacob Farrell, and Nathan Farrell, as well as his sister Carolyn and his brother Dwight.

Dwayne loved being outdoors. Some of our fondest memories with his kids include time on the farm in Indiana. Eating tomatoes fresh off the vine and hanging out on his tractor. He loved playing guitar and listening to music. Some of his favorites were Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Bob Segar. He was a boating enthusiast and loved Harley Davidson.

May you ride freely on the open road and be no longer in pain. Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father.

Per Dwayne’s request, there will be a small close family gathering to celebrate his life. Anyone who wishes to honor him may donate to a foundation established for his niece, Lauren Handler, who was taken from this world far too early. Dwayne was very close with Lauren and was his first niece. They had a special bond and we ask that anyone who wishes to pay respects, please do so by making a donation to The Handler Hope Foundation.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

We love you forever and always. Thank you everyone for your love, kindness, generosity and prayers.
