I remember it was about mid August when I pulled into the Amets campground and found Dwayne as he was there most weekends and it was Saturday afternoon. I had just left my husband after catching him cheating. He stayed up all night watching my car while I slept because he was so worried about me. A guardian Angel.
My mom and your grandpa Dave, worked together at Rural Furniture, such a nice man. I knew grandma Wanda, from Stoneys, I’ve known your dad from bowling yrs and yrs ago. He was always such a nice, friendly, sweet guy. We both lived at Black River Lanes at one time, use to scare each other half to death, when we worked, before opening, before we got all the lights on! RIP Dwayne.....

The best memory with dad was when twice when he met his granddaughters for the first time, madalynn and Milena will forever be Papa's Bambino's. It was a privilege to be his daughter in law.
Dwayne was like part of our family for many years. Gene worked with Dwayne at Brandt pools, and the friendship began and grew. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas he was here for family dinner. He was over for summer time fires, cook outs etc. . Dwayne was a true friend. He fought a long hard battle with Cancer and I told him when he was diagnosed. I got this. I will be with you every step of the way through medical tests and appointments till the end. We love and miss him already. Along the way we gained his children and grandchildren as family too. We all were there for him whatever was needed. We love and miss him already. You are now pain free and at peace our friend and may you fly high.
Dwayne was a dear old friend. I ve known him sence 6 grade. went went out to JVS in 1980 and 81. graduated together. went to his party. we hung out together at Stoneys bowling alley where we both bowled. had lots of fun. I knew your family well. I ll never forget the time we left JVS and went back to Keystone in your cutlace at 115 miles an hour. you did scare me. lots of good memories dear friend. You called me to let me know you were sick. I am glad we talked again. I want to send out prayers to your sister and your daughter and son. You told me they meant the world to you. always remember that kids. Rest in Peace Dwayne.

Having dad be able to watch me at my nursing pinning ceremony was so meaningful.
