Dudley was born November 22, 1951 in Brownfield, Texas. To Jay and Reba (Hicks) Harris. He was a graduate of Levelland High School and a graduate of South Plains College. He was retired as a truck driver. On December 18, 1999 he and Kimberly Cotten were married in Lubbock.
