Dr Scott's obituary

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Dr. Scott Bush, who was born on October 7, 1961, and passed away on October 14, 2024. He leaves behind a loving family and a lasting legacy in the health and education sectors.

Scott is survived by his wife, Penny Bush, whom he married in 1997, and their children: Derek Diacontonas, Daniele Bush, and Mark Bush. He was a loving father-in-law to Michele Diacontonas and Garrett Hadry. A doting grandfather to Lily, Jensen, Emma, and Riker Diacontonas. His sister, Sherri Bush, and nieces, Rebecca Null and Nikki Hollingsworth-Schlater, along with his great niece Tyler Schlater will miss him dearly. He will also be remembered by his brother Jeff Bush. Scott was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Sonny Bush, and his in-laws, Ray and Patricia Nagey.

Scott is survived by his 3 cats Fanta, Pumpkin and Precious. He will also be missed dearly by his dog Aki. He was predeceased by his dogs Lightning, Whiney, Einstein alongside many other dogs and cats over many years. 

After a successful career, Scott retired from Stark State College in 2023, following his earlier retirement from Bush Chiropractic Clinic in 2021. His notable achievements include earning degrees from Miami University and Palmer College of Chiropractic, serving as an instructor teaching physiology and medical terminology, and maintaining a long-standing chiropractic practice with loyal patients. His impact in the medical field won't easily be forgotten.

Scott was an avid reader, enjoying the works of authors like Tom Clancy, James Patterson, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz. His favorite TV show was The Walking Dead, and he was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Bengals. An avid gamer, Call of Duty was his favorite. His favorite vacation spots included Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Kissimmee, Florida, providing solace and relaxation throughout his life.

Known for his caring, stubborn, loving, and funny personality, Scott often shared his wisdom with others, encouraging them to believe in the power of knowledge, the importance of leadership, and the strength in speaking one's mind. He had a deep love for his family and all animals, and was dedicated to making a difference where he could.

Dr. Scott Bush's life was characterized by his dedication to his career, love for his family, and respect for education. His journey has influenced many people's health and wellbeing, leaving a lasting legacy. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
