It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dr (Mrs) Oreoluwa Salau, Nigeria’s first female meteorologist, an outstanding scholar, and an inspiring mother to us all.

Our mother was not only a trailblazer in science and education, she was also the embodiment of love, sacrifice, and resilience.

She dedicated her life to breaking barriers and nurturing lives in her family, her community, and in the larger academic world.

Supporting others, building lives, was a pillar in her families. An educationist to the core, lifted myriads of people to gain their education.

While we mourn deeply, we also celebrate her remarkable legacy, her unwavering faith, and the countless lives she touched through her work and her compassion.
