Dr. Maisha was a unique spirit walking among us. She was one of my greatest teachers in the ministerial classes, and one who always vibrated at a higher frequency that others.  We served as ministers at our beloved  City of Angels Church of Religious Science, under Dr. O.C Smith. I still miss her today. She will live in my heart and memory as one whose infectuos spirituality inspired me.
Maisha was a wonderful friend in graduate school and beyond.  She is an amazing person.  I miss her upbeat nature and imagine her living large in the cosmos—a true friend.  Dr. Laine Goldman
Thank you Maisha for sharing your brilliance, your loving kindness, and your wisdom with me.  You stood by Tim and I through some challenging times.  We love and miss.

I was very blessed to have Professor Hazzard as my graduate level one on one writing teacher.  She was also one of my advisors on my PhD committee.  To this day, I still remember her warm, deep thoughts about writing that I have never found in any book.  She was definitely the most gracious, example of what it means to be a learned woman scholar. She continues to live in my heart and inspires the words I write.
My sincerest condolences. The pain that death brings can be extremely difficult, but please know you are not alone. Jehovah our God is with us. He will rid us of death. (Revelation 21:4) He will also reverse the effects of death by bringing our loved ones back to life. John 5:28,29 says to “not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” May this promise give you the strength to endure till you see your loved one again.

My teacher, mentor and sistah friend. I miss you beyond what words can describe. My heart ❤ feels lonely and aches ...likened to losing a lover without a word of goodbye. I know you are soaring and free. Hello from the other side, I thought of your words that makes it easier some how..."Maisha I said "I Love you"and you said "I know". Simply Divine. Cindy
