I was so saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Lipson. I met Dr. Lipson approximately a decade ago at the gym where he was a regular.  He learned of my fear of dentists and due to his gentle nature and encouragement over many months, I finally had the courage to make a dental appointment. Dr. Lipson was an extremely caring, professional dentist. He was so patient and reassuring as he helped me overcome my fear. His entire staff was so wonderful and Dr. Lipson was extremely proud of their long working relationship.

In addition to being my dentist, Dr. Lipson (he told me to call him Frank but I never could) became a friend. My beloved husband of thirty years was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 58. During my gym visits, Dr. Lipson became a trusted source of support and wisdom. He also provided such compassionate dental care to my husband which was no easy feat given the complications due to Alzheimer's Disease. When I lost my husband, Dr. Lipson continued to be a source of great support and comfort.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Dr. Lipson's family, friends and coworkers. He showed me pictures of his daughter and son and was so proud of them. Dr. Lipson was truly special and I am grateful to have known him.

In Loving Memory of Dr. Frank Lipson, DDS

For over 40 years, we had the great gift of sharing life with Dr. Frank Lipson—not only as our dentist, but as one of our dearest and most cherished friends. Our story began in a Mommy and Me class, where new parents came together with their children. It was those children who brought us into each other’s lives, but it was the warmth, humor, and kindness of Frank and his beloved wife, Cathy, that kept us close across the decades.

What began as a casual connection quickly grew into a deep friendship that became central to our lives. For over ten years, we shared a standing Friday night dinner—a tradition that became sacred. Around those dinner tables, Frank and Cathy brought stories of our children, reminiscing and reflecting with love and pride. We laughed, we listened, and we never shied away from spirited conversations about the state of the world. Those evenings were filled with joy, intellect, connection, and a sense of family we will treasure forever.

Frank was also our dentist—truly the best we’ve ever known. He practiced with care, precision, and a quiet devotion to his craft. Every patient mattered deeply to him, and he approached his work with the same integrity and compassion that defined every part of his life.

Even as he faced health challenges, Frank never complained. He carried himself with quiet strength, humility, and grace. He was the kind of person who made others feel safe, seen, and supported—whether in the dental chair or across the dinner table.

We will miss him deeply—his steady presence, his thoughtful perspective, and his unwavering friendship. But more than anything, we are profoundly grateful for the gift of his life and the countless memories we shared.

Thank you, Frank, for being part of our story. You will always live in our hearts.

Love,

Tony and Essly Marino
