Dr. Clifford Jay Wolf, DPM passed away at age 72 in Oceanside on Tuesday July 19th from complications of Covid-pneumonia. Cliff was born in Chicago in 1949 and went to the University of Miami and later Georgetown University as part of his doctoral education. His residency took him to sunny Southern California where he became a Podiatrist and it was here that he met his wife Donna. They fell madly in love, were married in 1981, and had 2 amazing sons in the 3 years following. They moved to Poway, CA in 1987 and remained in San Diego County ever since. He was a committed father and loving husband and found his greatest joy and passion through his family and his work. He connected with people in a kind and caring way, a skill that only a great doctor can hone over a career that spanned 5 separate decades. He made a lasting impact on many friends, family, patients and associates in both personal and professional ways. As a father, he loved his kids dearly and was able to see the birth of 4 beautiful grandchildren. The years he experienced as a grandparent were among the happiest years of his life (along with the Cubs winning the world series). His legacy is one of love, kindness, compassion and humor. He was a beautiful human being that left this world far too soon, but better than he found it, and helped heal thousands of people while raising a beautiful family in the process. He is survived by his wife Donna, sons Michael and Steven, grandchildren Benjamin, Adelyn, Siena and Jett, and his loyal dog Rocky. A memorial service is being held on Sunday September 4th at 3:00 at Lighthouse Christian Church in Oceanside. In Lieu of flowers or gifts, a memorial fund is available for those that wish to send condolences and assistance – Venmo @SteveWolf
