Doug VanderDoes was my best childhood friend from 1st Grade through High School, though from 9th grade through 12th grade we lived in different states.  We initially lived in the same neighborhood up until 9th grade.  Though in our latter years we ceased to have contact with one another, my childhood is filled with fond memories of the many hours that we spent playing together.  I was surprised to find out that he had died.  His obituary had almost no information regarding him.  I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing and I wish to pass on my condolences to those of his family that are still living, and to those of his friends who have had the opportunity to know and enjoy him.  If anyone can fill me in on the cause of his death, then I would greatly appreciate it.
