Douglas “Doug” Edward Stevens, 45, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Goff Stevens.

Doug enjoyed playing video games, wrestling and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with his daughter, Mercades.

He is survived by his fiancé, Barbara Kienle; daughter, Mercades Stevens; father, Lewis Stevens; sister, Connie Maxfield (Brandon), Lillian Bidwell (John); brother, Ronnie Stevens (Ava); nieces, Jessica Lacy, Kay Rowley, Amanda Weadon, Megan Pettera & Kimberly Adams; nephews, Jonathan Lacy, Joseph Stevens & Christopher Stevens.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Ross Gilfillen officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
