Sally, my heart is sad and broken for you. I only heard of this terribly news today Feb. 6th. Doug not only blew his horn at my wedding. He was my almost best friend in high-school. I say almost because we didn't know each other then. BUT if we had, we agreed that we would have been best friends. I can only imagine what he did when he came face to face with Jesus.
There is so much I could say about my friend, Doug. In our younger years we sang in youth choir and then sang some duets and were in two or three trios together singing gospel music at church. I was a little bit older but Doug never made that an issue with anyone he sang with. I consider Doug a lifelong friend and I will miss him so dearly. My love and prayers are with Sally and all of the family as I know he will be dearly missed. But we won't be separated too long. Doug just went on a little bit for us. And I'm sure he's going to be singing in the heavenly choir and playing that trumpet! I'll see you on the other side, Doug!
I was sad to hear of Doug's home-going, but so happy to know he's no longer suffering and is now in the presence of the Savior he sang about. I know he touched so many people through his music, including me, and I have no doubt that he is now making the Heavenly choir sound even sweeter. My prayers and love are with his family. What a blessing for all of you to have had Doug in your lives throughout the years. Think on the beautiful memories and live in God's peace until we get to see him again, completely healed.
I always felt at home when I would visit with Jess - always welcomed, loved, and hugged. So glad I had the privilege to know Doug. Prayers. Love, Libby
Doug was a Very Special Man. I loved to hear him sing and play the trumpet. He was blessed with a special talent. Prayers to the family during this difficult time. 🙏🏻💗😇
Doug, we went to high school together and we were neighbors growing up. We became face book friends years ago. You will be missed greatly. Heaven has gained a musical angel. My heartfelt prayers to your family and we will all cherish the memories. 🙏❤😇🎶🎺
My prayers for Doug’s entire family during this difficult time. Heaven is the best place to be as God always takes the great ones! Doug was always one of the great ones. He never wavered in his character, his kindness was nothing but top notch and his smile and laugh will never be forgotten. ☮️❤️🙏🏻
